This one was for my husband's birthday (which is right before Halloween). The decorations were inspired by a drawing the the Half Price Books 2007 Calendar. The inside is chocolate, the BEST chocolate cake recipe ever! It is the one on the back of Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder.

I think this cake is the coolest ever!!  I had that Half Price Books calender up at my work last year and October was my favorite picture.  I saved it and have it in my kitchen now!  I also saved the leprechan one.  I don't know if you know the one I'm talking about...but they both rocked!

Awesome!

thanks! that was my favorite calendar ever. never quite got comfortable with the animals eating the pilgrim cake, though. it would've been ok except for that creepy pig...
