Two art quilts - 13x9 - they are for hanging on the wall and do have a loop to hang them from a nail - they are stiff so they do not need more than a nail!
One bird has orange accents and the other bird has red accents... both have button eyes.

(They are my own designs - and will be offered up on my site once I get that up and running - but I do personal trade and my arm would not have to be twisted too hard for me to make more!!)

and a close up of the birds...

And this one is my family's favorite - I made it for the Silly Swap North America swap if I can find packaging the right size for it!  It is bigger - I want to say it is 14 1/2 x 19 or something like that - I measured it earlier today and have forgotten already!

And a close up of her face... and her kanzashi....

I had fun making them and am looking forward to making more of these - art quilts are now my official favorite craft item!!  LOVE making them!  I hate that I have to actually work on a work project come Tuesday when the boys go back to school.... I want to make more more more of these!!!!

The birds are currently in the Silly Swap International...
But I can be persuaded to make more... I know I will be making more for my house!
I don't get wisted often - I feel all rosey inside!!

Oh how 'tweet' they are  Grin

Now that you're offering them in the silly swap international, I better get my item done so I can join up!!

The girl is cute too but the birds are my favorite.

Bummer.  I wish I could afford shipping for the international swap.  I'd snatch those up in a heartbeat.  I just love the pink one especially.

Maybe if I get to the fabric store in the next few days I might be persuaded to get some yellow fabric... Originally I wanted to make sunflowers but didn't have the right shade of yellow... So I drew and drew some more and looked online at google images for a loooong time and kept typing in ideas of things I would want to make - then thought Japanese and ran with her - I drew her up and started on her last night but finished her this morning.

My husband is just beyond impressed.  He actually said that he thinks I should do the craft show circuit with my art quilts!

At least I found a use for that Stiffy from Long Creek MIlls I bought!!  I wonder how long it will take me to run through it all and have to order more!!  (I bought a lot - and I do mean a lot of it!)

Straw_holder - you do know I can make another, right? .....

Get out there right now and buy yellow, young lady!  There, how's that for persuasion  Tongue   I can't believe you thought of a sunflower and went with a lady!

Love these quilts. You do amazing work with such attention to detail. The woman is lovely, but the little birds are so sweet.
