as always, this is with white and black colored pencil on gray paper with black ink highlights. i really need to venture outside of my comfort zone, sigh...

for some reason, it looks a bit cartoony to me. but i think i'm happy overall. critique is ALWAYS welcome- don't be scared to tear me down, i can take it!

the hairstyle is so adorable, i should note. my sister is pretty much the most stylish person in the entire world, and this is her at prom. she wore a vintage dress and looked amazing.

hair is always the scariest thing to draw for me- i wait until the end to draw it because i dread it so much.

Awesome job! I thought this was something in PhotoShop, then I looked again, I'm impressed! There may be something to staying inside your comfort zone when it's so GOOD for you. Wink

well thank you! first i tried to do this in color on pink paper, and when i erased the color got all wonky. then i tried to paint it (i have never tried to paint before) and it looked horrible. then i started over on the painting and gave up. so this is my fourth attempt at this particular reference. i think, if i'm going to contribute 9 hours to something, i want to be happy with the results.
