i got the idea of making a messenger type bag out of this old skool coat i got from a good will then i found this site and what do you know chainreaction___ had the same idea. so i kind of used bits of their tutorial http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=2038.0   (ps. this is my VERY first ever actual sowing project.)

See i used the front of the coat as sort of a decoration but also the flap i guess and used a neck tie for the strap to keep the theme going.

the pockets from the coat are still useable

i love your bag - the theme is great and the way you used the front of the jacket for decoration/flap is so cool and unusual (^_^)
oh, and do you actually skate?  sorry i skate and i don't know any other girl skaters. just thought that would be cool if you did. <3
