I know the volcano should be a bit more pointy.  This was my first shot.  The "lava" is soy milk with red food coloring.  I should have filled it up a bit more because the lava was supposed to run over, not just smoke.  Once we cut the cake the lava started to run.

Oh my God !! That is the coolest thing I have ever seen !!! OK you get the soo impressed me award for the year. How did you make the cake smoke? I would love more details on how you did this and you so need to enter this into a cake decorating contest somewhere. I have to say I look at cakes all of the time and truly this is the coolest thing out there right now. GO YOU !!!

Thanks!  It is dry ice.  There is a shot glass filled with the soy milk in the top of the cake.
