OK, let's see if I can remember how to post pictures here...
Here is a little "flower loom" thingy I got at a thrift store:

Here is what I made on it with thin yarn and embroidery floss:

Here is a collection of some of the many flowers I have made:

At Christmas time I took a few of them, ironed and starched them and made hanging ornaments out of them.  But I would like to make something else and thought I would ask Craftsters what you all might do with them.  They are fun to make but are so whispy they don't have much body to them so I don't know if a blanket type thing would work or not...

And I forgot to add that the border around the outer edge of these is crocheted.

scarf or bolero might be a good idea. especially if you make them in one colour Smiley

My aunt made a blanket out of those flowers years and years ago and my grandparents still have it and it's still in okay shape.

They're made with super thick yarn...that probably makes a difference in how strong they are.

you could put them over some type of fabric to make a blanket. like sew them together, then sew them over a blanket.

Make a whole bbunch of them, sort of in the same color scheme maybe, and just crochet them together into a line. An instant sunny, fashionable spring scarf. Use heavier yarn to make winter ones, hey and if you make them blue and white they could pass as snowflakes! Shocked

Good luck with the loom, they look really cool!

You could sew them together and use them as a border for something in your house - like a window or mirror or something.  I am also in love with the garland idea!

Thanks for all the fabulous ideas, I knew I could get some inspiration here!  You all Rock! When I do get around to making something I will surely post it here!

And that crocheted flower garland is very cool.  This is the only "problem" with craftster as far as I can tell - so many good ideas, I keep getting distracted from one project every time I see something else I want to make!

You can make a few of these and cluster them together to make a small bouquet and stitch them to a handbag or make a pin/brooch to put on your suit etc.  You can make a tons of them and stitch them together to make a bedspread.  You can line it with a colorful sheet.
