for those of us who can't knit or crochet, would you be able to either fingerknit a long bit and sew that on, or knot it straight onto the straps? (for the second one, i mean knotting it every time u put it around the strap, not just knotting at the start then wrapping then at the end)
hope that made sense!

Give it a try!  Buy one pair of flipflops and one ball of eyelash yarn and see if you can make it work.  Even if it doesn't work, you'll still have a regular pair of flip flops.

I have to agree...just give it a try.....I really think the eyelash yarn is very forgiving and you might not even be able to tell you did it that way.

The flip flops are so much fun to make a wear.  I made these by crochet-ing around the straps.

We have had a few sunny weekends and I sat outside and made them; I didn't feel so bad for sitting around since I was "creating" something.

These flip flops are so easy and fun to make.  I made these two pairs by crochet-ing around the straps while sitting outside on a sunny day (great use of time).

I think I may try the knit a sew technique for the next two pair I have on the to do list.  They all look so good.

Well the easter bunny (me) left some for my 3 neices, that was on easter. and i know they have all wore them to school and the otherday they had actually wore them in the sand to play in, my sister n law said that the sand brushed right off, they have had no complaints..guess it might matter how bad your feet sweat?

I made a set of flower flip flops. I loved them, but then the flowers fell off as I had used hot glue to attach them. So then I reattached them with super tacky craft glue. Again, they fell off. Could anyone suggest a good glue? They are silk flowers being affixed to a rubber strap. I hope someone can help me. I want to wear them as soon as the snow melts!  Grin
