I made one of these for a swap and I wanted to keep it so I decided to make one for myself and thought I might as well make a tute to go along with it.
All of the items and sizes that I used:
2 fabric pieces and 1 piece fleece 15" by 10"
2 fabric pieces 15" by 5"
2 fabric pieces and 1 piece fleece 4 1/2" by 7"
1 magnetic snap
My seam allowance was about 1/4 of an inch
Put right sides together with the 2 fabric pieces and 1 piece fleece 4 1/2" by 7" with the fleece on the outside, I used a bowl and drew a curve. Sew around the curve, trim, turn inside out and place half of the magnetic snap in the center.
Take 2 fabric pieces 15" by 5" and with right sides facing sew down one long side then put wrong sides together and iron flat
Take that piece and put it ontop of your lining piece and pin down sides
Sew your slots for your hooks, make them whatever size you want.
Now take your flap that you made earlier and put it in the top left corner with snap facing up, with right side facing up of your outside fabric(make sure you leave a seam allowance at the top so you don't sew over it), then put the inside fabric with the right side down (I have this going upside down) make sure that where you have the slots for the needles is where you have the flap, and put the fleece on the top.
Starting on the opposite side as the flap, start sewing about 2/3's down the side and sew all the way around and leave about a 3 inch opening for turning.
Fold it up to the size that you want to have it (mine is trifold) and mark where you need to put the snap, then put it in.
Iron down the opening and sew it shut, I also iron the top down then to give it a fold crease
Finished product, enjoy!
Thanks for looking,
