Hello!
I'll be moving to MD in May. We are going to be living on Ft. Meade. Not sure exactly what county or whatever that is but I'd love to meet up with some crafty folks! I've lived overseas for almost 4 years now and can't wait to have access to crafty stuff and stores once again! WOO!

Ft Meade isn't too far away- I think technically its Anne Arundel county- but very close to the Prince George's Co border.  I'm about 15-20 minutes away from there.  when you make it to town, a meet up would be fun!

Greenbelt, and  beltsville aren't toooooo far away either.  I used to take the Metro from Greenbelt all the time..... MAry Z

I'd try WoolWorks in Rockville, or G street fabrics... I don't go over that way much- also try a yahoo business search with your zipcode.  I know there are a lot of nice fabric places in R'ville/ bethesda

Frederick is actually a pretty crafty little town. Much bigger place than it was 10 years ago - that's for sure.
If you are new there you might want to check out the Delaplaine center in downtown and also just kinda scoot around downtown to various galleries and shops to see local crafters and artists. The community college has a few classes/groups. If you are a Mom, there is the MOMS club (actually a couple of chapters now) and there are all sorts of crafting groups in there too. The Friday paper usually lists meetings and such as well.
I'm in Hagerstown, we don't have a lot of anything - primarily just knitting and rustic stuff. (Not my bag)

Hi everyone!

I'm Jenn and I just joined the board today.  I stumbled onto it this weekend while looking for DIY bedskirt ideas.  Cheesy   I live in Upper Marlboro and knit, crochet, bead, and on rare occasion, sew.  My primary areas for shops and whatnot are Bowie-Annapolis.
