I recently finished this hat. I started it for my son, but ended up making it for me. It was great -- really comfy and warm, and kinda silly too. But my family looked at me funny when I wore it, so I ended up selling it.  Roll Eyes It's red heart. I didn't expect it to feel as good as it did, honestly.  Shocked

It's a strand of avocado run with a strand of camo, worked in hdc with an N hook.

It does look great on. I'm tempted to make one like it, but I don't think I would look as good in it as you. I do love Orange AND camoflauge, though... Smiley Was there a specific pattern you used?

I saw the camo/orange color combo on a knitted earflap hat at diynetwork, but I wanted a one-evening project, so that's why I chose to crochet it double-stranded, in half double crochet. I just kind of winged it... looked at some hdc beanie patterns, then at how earflaps were made on some crocheted hats. Instead of braiding the straps, I pulled through a double-strand loop of orange and chained them.

Thanks!
If I made it again in pink camo, what should I edge it with? Gray? Pale pink? Bright pink? Hmm.

Well... personally, I would use the orange again... (But that's because I love pink and orange together...) The grey would look great, too, though. Smiley (Or any of the things you mentioned. Smiley)

That looks fabulous! Personally I love a pink and gray combo almost as much as I love a brown and blue combo. so I vote for gray.

You did a great job winging it!
