ok, so i got the book and am thinking about making this after seeing how cute yours turned out. But i have a few questions before i go out and get all of the supplies i need...

1. Do you use your outer pocket? I was thinking of skipping it?
I have been using it for coupons/grocery list.  It's not that functional for anything else, it is rather flat.
2. Did you have a hard time sewing thru all of the layers? My machine is not very good at going thru purse handles and thick bunches of fabric? Any advice?
When the going got thick I manually turned the machine's drive.  The knobby on the right.  So that I could see immediately if it was going to get stuck in a spot and leave me with tight stitches to rip out.  My machine is just a Kenmore from Sears.  Like $100 model.
3. How did you do the ID part? I love that feature on yours.
Very tricky-I took the checkbook insert from my lime green "mom wallet" and tucked into that pocket Cheesy
4. oh yeah, and about how long did this take you to make? It looks pretty intense, and i am a beginner so im wondering if this may be too hard?
It took 4 days, I doubted myself at times.  But I trucked through.  It was by far the hardest thing I've ever sewn.  But you can do it, just read everything though carefully a few times, and don't be afraid to screw up.

Thanks for any advice you might have!

That is so cool!!  I really love it.  It holds everything in one place w/out being over stuffed.  I have problems with my wallets always being tight and hard to close.  And I don't have a lot in them.  This is perfect!!   And I love the colors you chose.   I'm all about bright and crazy.  So I looove the inside pink.  Cheesy

I am so in love with this project! I saw the original in the book, but yours looks much better! For some reason the clutch in the book looks abnormally large. Anyways, congrats! I hope to make it soon!

I have the book but I haven't made anything out of it yet- I'm too scared!

You have inspired me to try this as my first project from the book- I think my mom would love it for a birthday present.

I keep looking at this pattern and trying to think of a reason why i can't make it. But after looking at yours i really am inspired to give it a shot.

Perfect gift for so many people if i can make a good shot of it.
