Hi All,

I've been working on this for the past few days....

Not sure if I like the handles I put on it.. (pre bought store faux leather). I may change them out to put actual fabric handles on it... not sure.. depends on feed back here! LOL

I found this fabric at Joann's and fell in LOVE with it.. they had several cordinating fabrics to go w/ the main paisely print and I wanted to incorperate as much as I could into a purse/tote.

I decided to do sorta a patchwork style.. I cut sorta like triangles out of each fabric and then alternated them

Here's the front

Here's the back side.. and of course, I LOVE putting zippers in now and this is pretty roomy and holds lots of stuff! hehe

I sorta did a boxed zipper gusset. This was pretty hard for me to do since i had no tut on how to do it, so I just played around w/ it until I got it to fit. My problem was, I actually made side panels for this purse instead of a jordy style.. so wasnt' quite sure how to put a zipper gusset in......I ended up adding side panels to the ends of the zipper.. One side came out a little crooked, but I am HOPING i am the only one that notices it! Wink

Here's the zipper gusset

The lining i did in the polka dotted fabric (I just love this fabric!) You can see one section on the purse where the fabric is added in the triangle piece.

Ok, the next few pics are just accessories i made to match my purse.

I took my existing wallet and sorta mimiced the shape of that... then of course i HAD to make the triangle sided cosmetic bag to match!

On the inside of the wallet, to the right in the pic, is a clear plastic window that i put in for your drivers license.

the cosmetic bag

(ignore the date on my camera. This camera is old, and the batteries were taken out and it auto comes up the year 2002 when u put batteries back in it... didn't wanna take the time to change that!

Ok, there ya have it, my latest project!

Very nice.  I really like the structure of the purse, and the fabrics are great.

I think you hit the nail on the head!... there is just something about them that I don't really care for... I used fat quarters for this purse...I think I will mess around tomorrow and see if I can get enough strap length out of a fat quarter...

Any suggestions on which fabric to use for the straps??? Stick w/ the paisely???

Thanks for the comments!
