Well, hubby is gone for the week on business, and, as the old saying goes, while the cat's away, the mice will,um, make new purses. So, this is what I came up with after an afternoon of messing around. I'm actually quite proud of it, seeing as how I didn't really use a pattern. The top handle part is made of this vinyl material that was a bear to work with, since I don't have a teflon foot. (Note to self, BUY ONE!!) Anyway, I was antsy to post this and get everybody else's feedback. Thanks for looking!

It's excellent!
And, not that this is the point of the whole bag, but I love the orange inside.

That's really cute! I've been meaning to figure out how to make a purse like that. I've limitied myself to totes, and now I'm getting really bored. Now that I saw this I bumped it up on My Neverending To Do list. Cheesy

That's a really darling purse and a very good sewing job! Love that striped fabric also. You should be proud of your pretty purse.

That's so cute and colorful!  And I recommend the Teflon foot--I have one, and it makes sewing vinyl sooooo much easier.

I am an apologist for the spiders.

Just treat me no differently than you would the Tarantula Queen.
