Honeypie, maybe it would be enough if you took a picture of your pattern and shared it with us?  I just need a starting point.  Thanks for sharing!!!  Smiley

Thanks for all the nice comments ladies!

I´m getting my DH to scan the pattern at the office Smiley
Since we don´t have a scanner at home I usually scan at work my self, but I am currently on maternity leave so it´s a it of a hassle you see.

Or maybe I´ll just post a pic. Eitherway Ill have a pattern up for you in a couple of days.

And completely off topic: I am probably buying my very first serger tomorrow. YAY! Old, and used but functional and at a good price too. I´ve wanted one for so long now and think it will be good for learning the "serger-basics".

Congrats on your baby Honeypie!!!  They are such little miracles.

Yay!!  Thank you for getting that scanned and sharing it.  I really want to make a pair for my friend...I have some time since she isn't due for 3 more months.  Smiley

Enjoy your serger.  I was in a craze and got one too, but have yet to open it.  I really should though since it would make lots of my sewing so easy.

thanks so much!  i'm just fresh off maternity leave myself so i understand how you ca n have less free time than you do while working full time!  (but also that it can inspire lots of baby sewing)
and enjoy your serger!  i got one last christmas and now can't remember what i did without it.  thanks to it, i can whip up a baby sleep sack in about 10 minutes now.  too bad it took me 6 months to learn that i didn't have to rethread it every time i wanted to change colors...it's a good 20 minute process for me!

Here is the pattern for the shoes. It´s really simple but I hope it can be useful anyway.
I am just posting a photo of the pattern, but put in a 1cm reference mark, so that it should be easier to scale. This size fits my 6 month old.

When sewing the top fabric an lining together i sew along the solid line on the front (with rubberband attached), and THEN cut down the middle and toward the corners. Hope that makes sense (?)

Step 2 is folding the top an lining apart (and iron flat), and then sewing the heel seem.

Step 3 is attaching the sole to the outside fabric and the sole lining to the lining fabric. I leave an opening in the lining for turning.

Thanks for that Honeypie!
My sister is expecting in May, what kind of measurements do you need to make a boot that fits? just the length of the foot or more? And how do you calculate the size of the upper piece?

Thanks!
