Finally ready to come out of the mold!!! there's also a pair of earrings i didn't put on the ear wires yet, but this is all of the rest! wheee...

cast in hand tinted black resin, this time the black is dry paint pigment (as opposed to embossing powder) they also have a tiny bit of blue glitter, but it's pretty much only visible on the back, i guess the paint pigment is heavier and sunk in front if the glitter... and they're REALLY dark black, the camera caught some weird reflections inside the pieces sometimes, but they look solid in person!

my husband and i met while volunteering in new orleans, so i had to do mardi gras
pieces. it's more 3D than it looks here, but i'm no photographer (i love this piece the most!)-

These are of the second mask piece-

this is my husbands favorite. i grew up on a ranch in texas, where my family still lives, so the crossover between the wild west and steampunk interests me a bit...

these 2 are similar, but different pieces-

mermaids cameo-

and a black heart, just 'cause he was in the batch...

How very cool! You've done a fantastic job!

I'm timid about venturing into resin, but maybe by this summer I'll have put on my big girl panties and tried it. (teehee!)

The watch parts look great on the black, they really pop. I especially love the mask pendant and the mermaid cameo one. I would find some other chains for them though, I don't think the ball chains go very well with the pendants. I reckon thick cord or a couple of strands of thinnish, satiny ribbon (black and golden yellow?) would be really gorgeous.

i said in another post, one of these days i'll remember to get ribbon while i'm at the store... one of these days. i like 'em on the ball chain though, personally. and they're always offered with options... if i  photographed them on a stand  instead of flat it would probably motivate me too, 'cause laying flat the cord or ribbon won't look so hot...

and i'm thinking black velvet, maybe with some red...

Those are wonderful!  I love the color combination (black, silver, and gold). How long did those take you?

maybe about an hour spent poking things around and trying to get them set up properly. but that included some other pieces too. and the long skinny pendants like to try to pile everything in the middle, so i had to keep poking at 'em...then the waiting overnight for it to cure, but sleeping through the waiting helps!  Wink

hmm, etsy, but i don't know where. i'll check...
