I have to ask now...  Did the toy hold up?  I might make one for my Lucy.  She doesn't destroy her stuffies unless they have a squeaker.  Then she MUST KILL the squeaker.  Other than that, she just eats shoes.

It lasted him a few days, then he worked a hole into it and I came home from work faced with a living room covered in my fabric scraps! Haha...better than the couch cushion though, right? So then I patched it up for him and restuffed it and it lasted another 3 or 4 days. The carcass ended up being something he carried around for a few weeks though, until he entirely demolished that as well. It was adorable Smiley

But I did feel good knowing that I made something for my doggie.

Those wool balls sound awesome! I'm going to have to look into that.

Awww...Bowie is adorable.  I had a lab-mix who also was a crazy chewer.  She could decimate a tennis ball in under 2 minutes.  I got her some of those twisted rope toys.  She loved them and they lasted forever.  Kong also makes some really good heavy-duty toys.

I am going to reinforce the KONG toy. I have a Lab/Jack Russell mix and he destroys every toy he gets in a matter of days. The peanut butter thing is a good idea, but if you dont want the mess, KONG makes special treats the go inside the KONG ball and it'll take your pup forever to get it out....keeps mine busy for hours!! Oh I forgot to compliment the great toy you made! I think it's an awesome idea and I think I'll go home and do the same with my old jeans!
