Congratulations Banner

My FDH started his first day at work on Monday, and I was so proud of him, I wanted to do something special.  So I made this little paper banner and hung it up in the kitchen doorway so it would be the first thing he sees when he walked in.

It's not much, but it made him smile.  And that's what's important.  Anyway, I thought I'd share.

The heart has a little note on it.


I freehanded the holes with an exacto knife.

What do you guys think?  I know I've seen banners like this around in holiday posts, but I figured I'd give it a try myself.  I really like seeing it hang up there.  I think I'm going to have to hang more banners.

Aha!  That must be it.  I was thinking of appropriate "f" words and future didn't come to mind.

Hahaha, yes!  Future Dear Husband.  It's funny because I was writing that, and he looked over my shoulder and said "no one is going to know what that means."
