Nora- You are awesome!  That McCall's pattern is darling too-I will definitely give that one a try!  I had heard that too about the skirts and I have to agree.  What do you think of a-line skirts?  It seems like they would help to give the illusion of a waist.  I think the most important thing for me to do is come to terms with the fact that this is how I am shaped.  There is no point hating it- it is what it is!

Empire waists are awesome on your body type!  I've seen some wonderful dresses and tops with that cut - sadly they make me look 18 months pregnant...it's so weird, and really too bad because they are so cute.
