ah, yeah, packing breakables is tricky.  i don't know that i've ever sent any, but tissue paper, news paper, bubble wrap or wrapping items in a softer item that you'd made, like a coffee cup tucked inside a tote bag, you get the picture.

all but one set of partners in my group has recieved!  This swap has yielded some cute items, as usual.  it might be a while before I host a swap again, but this one did go a bit more smoothly than my first, and thanks to everyone who kept in contact with me, and big thanks to RondaS for helping!!!!!!!!!!!  You rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you for organizing hardyswanton01! This has been so fun!

great packages CrochetAdikt and DDSuzie!

my partner seems to have flaked on me, sigh...

I sent her quite a lot of things I didn't take pics of - one of the magnetic bracelets I make, a necklace, stitchmarkers, some brown and green glass bead with big holes for her to use with hemp jewelry making, some metal beads with big holes, I think some other little things that were all wrapped in a yarn ball that matched the yarn in the lapghan I made her that was all rasberry, browns and greens for flavored teas and cocoas (the varigated was picked because it was a lot like yarn she chose for herself for something on her blog) - and quite a bit of tea and a few bags of cocoa

I only took pics of the lapghan and the MYB after I had already rolled it up

the bracelet was a lot like this one, only the stones were amethyst, onyx, carnelian, lapidolite - so had more of a brown look to it. And the necklace was of tigeriron which is like tiger eye only darker as it has jasper and hematite in it too.

the larger beads were like these, the brown and green colors

RockstarMom volunteered to angel me even before I needed one though, so I am thrilled with her volunteering if she still wants to! I hope!  Grin

oh well - it happens...

sigh

thanks for the compliment, and I am kicking myself because this is the first time I didn't take pics of every darn thing in the box

figures

At least I am a veteran swapper so I am not freaked out about it - and I have a great swap angel who volunteered before I even asked!

I am sad that oribe didn't come through but really excited that RockstarMom is sending me a package - my emotions are all mixed up on this.

but I think I will stick with the excited about RockstarMom  Wink

thank you so much and tell your family I said thank you too! Can not wait to see what your kids contribution might be - and totally loving that your family is interested in getting into it! My mom helped me out with a package once - she has an awesome collection of "vintage" buttons - that she bought new, LOL!
