TheLilCrocheter:  It's pretty much the coolest swap ever.

First you say "I claim package B, gigantic doily!  I have 4 claims left!"

And then I say "Nu-uh sistah!  I totally claim Package B!  Mine all mine!  I have 4 claims left!"

And then you're all like "I don't think so, summerthyme!  I gotta have me that doily!  I claim package B, and I have 3 claims left!"

And them I'm all like "Oh no you didn't!  I claim package B, and I have 3 claims left too so there!"

And then you punch me in the face.  KIDDING!  Cheesy

But yeah, we just keep fighting over whatever package we want until time is up or we run out of claims Smiley

When the claiming period ends, the last person to have successfully claimed Package B gets that craft, and the other person gets another craft (say you originally had Package N and I had Package B.  When you claim Package B, you would be giving me your Package N.  They just switch back and forth).

you could check out the last round and see for yourself.  It's basically a list with all the names and what they are getting.  You change your name with the person whose stuff you want and repost the list. This goes on till the time is up and the last list is what everyone is getting.

I read everything in the first round to see how they did it before I committed to this swap.

I told my husband I was thinking about dipping my toe back into the pond of swapping and he asked if I need an intervention.

I could maybe do some handspun.  Hrm, how much would be fair I wonder.  I saw some of the  gorgeous shawls and such from last round, and they seem like they'd be worth alot of yarn Smiley

Hi Raynbow!

So glad to see you again!!  I'm sure a skein of your handspun would be a hot ticket item!!

I've not had the pleasure of owning anything handspun, so it would be at the top of my list Cheesy

I had a thought.  Would people rather have a skein or two of handspun to do whatever they want with.  Or would they rather have a skein of handspun already knit or crocheted into something?

I would say just a skein because people will want the pleasure of making their own things Wink

I agree, even though my opinion is worthless since I'm neither a yarnie nor signed up yet for this swap. but if you've already made something from your handspun and don't yet have a skein of unused handspun done, you could definitely offer what you've made.

I confess I'm thinking about cheating for this swap...I have a very cute set to offer but I'm not the one who made it!  Embarrassed And crafting is kind of the point, huh. The inspiration just hasn't hit, and I'm working on things for a couple other people at the moment. Send some "large-sized craft" crafting mojo my way if you have any to spare!  Smiley
