Homespun yarn and notebooks both sound like great ideas to me.  Still not sure if I can join, the cowl didn't have much success here and I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish something else in time.

violent thistle I think the cowl was beautiful - sadly I am an allergy person.  Mohair as beautiful as it is makes me itch and my eyes run beyond belief.  I think it was stunning.
stitch and tell - the notebooks sound wonderful.  There are a lot of people that keep journals on craftster.

I can't stress this enough - make what YOU want to make - there is a spot for every item created... and if the recipient gets something they personally do not want or need I can bet you they could use it for an upcoming gift for someone.

Last round was truly the round of wool.  Knowing I can't go near wool I had already envisioned each of the spun/dyed wools and each of the scarves with the people I would give them to just in case.  I had a mental home for every single item that was posted.  You have to look at this swap this way - you might not end up with the item of your first choice but you really can find a good home for the item you receive if you look beyond yourself...

Having said that - can't wait to see the gallery grow!  I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!

thanks, craftedeb.   Don't you hate being allergic to pretty things?  I'm the same way with jewelry - I don't know how many times I've picked up some fun jewelry at the antique store only to find I'm clawing at my neck all night if I wear it.

I hear you on that!  I have had the woolly issue as far back as I can remember.  In the military I was issued wool blankets in basic training.  I was itchy and broken out the entire time.  I was glad to move on to training after that just so I could have a new blanket!

I hear you on the necklace front as well.  I used to be able to wear all sorts of cheap stuff but now I am finding that I can't wear stuff unless it is sterling.. .or else I am clawing at my neck as well.

The older I get the worse it gets.  It just stinks.  By the time I am collecting medicare I think I will need to live inside a bubble  Cheesy

Notebooks would be great!  I have a small one now that I use for swaps and it's stuffed full of ideas, addresses and swap information.

okay have you ever played white elephant at christmas?

if not lets say we both wanted a doll

you had it so i claimed it (took it from you) and then you get the craft i had

then you can either take it back or take someone else's

and it just keeps on going until ur out of claims or the claiming period is over
