I made a circle skirt (yay for tutes) out of some brown stretch velvet. I've got about...40 cm by 60 cm left...n i want 2 make some sort of a bag. Unfortunatly, Im not exactly a supercrazy sewer (not that that's bad! Wink). Does anyone ahve simple-ish ideas for a bag?

stretch velvet is hard to sew (as you know!) and I don't think stretch fabrics really work well in bags because once you put something in, the bag stretches out of shape.

You could perhaps iron it to some interfacing to stabilise it, then make a simple tote by folding in half & stitching the sides then adding a handle.

Velvet can be ironed.  It's no different to any napped fabric.  If the pile is long, put it over a velvet board (sort of like the hook side of Velcro)
