Attach flower to hat.

I crocheted a simple beanie last night using dansk's tut http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=50208.0. I love this hat, but this is my first time crocheting flowers. How do I attach the flowers to the hat? I know I'm supposed to sew them on, but what do I use to sew it on? How do I sew it on so you don't see the thread?

You can use the yarn color of the flower, or, esp if it's too lacy, you can use invisible thread. It's like fish line, all craft stores have it in the jewelry section. And, when you are sewing it on, you can go only into the back loops of the flower, not all the way through, if that makes sense.

I just used a needle and thread and it want on with no problems and it's attached very securely.
