Because I was accepted into college, parents bought me a bike. Here it is:

So far, I knit it a sweater along the top bar, teal and pea soup green stripes, and have a little basket for the front in the mail, I plan to sew a lining for it. Do you have any other ideas on how to make it cute?
Stereotypically I am a little indie girl, so like any other hipstah I crave to be original and creative. Fellow bike kids have adopted polaroids in the spokes and painting their bike neon colors. (I don't want to paint a brand new bike that I didn't buy.)

You could put stripes on it with electrical tape.  it comes off pretty easily later.  We got tape residue off my husbands bike with a little mineral oil.

streamers missy! and be careful!  people will steal your basket and anything else they can grab off it.. There are some baskets that you can take off and use as a ..well a basket hahaha..
Safety first.. get a bike light that can be taken off and thrown in your purse or backpack..Sorry isnt too cool what I am telling you is it.  I live in Toronto canada and Have had 2 attempts at getting my bike stolen and another attempt at my seat!  ha!  Can you imagine it?  I leave my friends place really late at night and go to sit on the bike and the seat is moving all over the place.. the would be bandit only got the screws of the seat!! So there is me riding home with the rotating seat.. I was pissed off and laughing at the same time.. sheesh!
Sorry.. I SAY STREAMERS THOUGH... AND a cool bell! or horn! ha!

Great bike...you need a hood ornament on the front fender.  Something like the figurine from an old bowling trophy.  I'd love to see a pic of your bike with the basket when it arrives.

Oh my gosh, I am so nervous about the whole bike being stolen thing. I did get the basket that is detachable though.
And I thought I would post pictures when I'm satisfied...

The streamers idea is adorable and a figurine. when I was little I collected little farm animals, maybe there's something cool in that box.

Farm animals....now that's a great idea.  Epoxy a big duck on the front....or a line of barnyard friends around your basket since you can remove it and take it with you.
