I saw the Yarn Harlot's unoriginal hat pattern a few weeks ago and couldn't live without it!  I immediately ran out and bought the suggested yarn (Blue Moon Fiber Arts "Leticia") and made 2.  Then the ladies at the yarn shop I go to liked it so well they asked me to knit a sample and teach a cable knitting class.  Hurray!

This is the 1st one I knit for myself.  It is Blue Moon Fiber Arts "Leticia" in Saratoga

And here it is again!

I knit this one for my cousin, also in Blue Moon "Leticia" in Onyx.  I sent it off with a really big version of Amanda's Squatty Sidekick from Knitting Daily.  I knit that in Naturally "Tussock"

This is the sample I knit for the yarn shop.  It's Manos color #109, called Woodland

And again

I like the way it turned out with Leticia more than Manos since Leticia is so much bulkier.
With the Manos hat I experimented with knitting top down since my 1st one ended up a bit short.  I knit about an inch of ribbing at the bottom and I think it's a much better fit.  I don't know that I would be able to knit the extra inch with Leticia as I didn't end up with much yarn.  Who knows, I may do another with Leticia someday.

Thanks for looking, please let me know what you think!

Love the last one! Gorgeous colors!

It's so interesting to me to see who likes what!  For sure my fave is the 1st one, but when I checked around on Ravelry, no one had used that color.  Definitely something for everyone Smiley

Thanks for the compliments!
