I think there are some ideas here from 2006 (most are interior, but maybe SOME exterior, too!).  I'd love to start another craftalong this winter holiday season, tho!  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=134737.0

Here's what I did outside that year http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=134737.msg1382622;topicseen#msg1382622

I have noooo idea what we're doing this year yet, though.

We don't do much actually outside.  We don't have a front garden (our cottage is right on the public sidewalk) but we do put a little sign out that says "Santa please come here"  and I put lights around the windows (on the inside).
