i'm starting a new project and i was hoping to get it pinned and cut out tonight but it doesn't look like it b/c i can't tell the two sides apart! well actually, one is rougher than the other but i don't know if the rougher side is supposed to be out or the smoother side. anyone else have an idea??

To be honest, if you can't tell which side is right or wrong, that means you get to pick whichever one you want! Heck, I've used the obvious backside of fabric because I liked it better - especially with certain stripes and stuff. If you like the smoother side, use it. Three cheers for artistic freedom!
