My area runs Healthy Baby programs, which are focused at expectant and new mothers/families.

These programs are run on a drop-in basis, and they try to have a door prize every week.  Good prizes do seem to get more participants through the door, especially in the lower income areas where the families have the most to benefit from attending these programs.

I won the prize one week, and it was a beautiful hand knit baby blanket that a group of elderly women had made and donated.  (I felt guilty taking it, but sent them a thank-you note.)

Last week, the class I attended, they had no donations, so they put one of their own "meal bags" (can of soup, handful of noodles, and spices) up for the prize.

This has inspired me to make some items to donate.  I know the families that attend my class could definately use some love-filled prizes.  I'm not a knitter, but may sew some baby outfits, shoes, pillows, plushies, etc. to donate.

Yeah for inspiration-I think anything you make would be greatly appreciated.
