wow. just...... wow. for any of you who didn't know, this past week was probably the worst week i've ever had to survive. it didn't really get better till late yesterday.
today, i got geezered - and had yesterday turned out differently, i'm not sure i would have been as thrilled to be geezered as I am, today. Penlowe got me, and she got me to a T. Please let me show you what Penlowe did to/for/at me:
First of all, Penlowe, like so many others of us, recycles... please note the instructions on my box:
Recycle the box, and sign it before you pass it along... what a wonderful idea! Pen, you got it. next hapless victim who gets the box will have both of our signatures on it!
at the top of the box were some bubble packs (read inflated zip lock bags that can be recycled) - and this note:
ok, box first, read last. i can handle it. so I turned to the box, which sorta kinda looked like this.....

nanner nanner, i got my very own cabana boy!! According to the back, "he's the perfect companion for lounging by the pool". CHAD comes complete with these accessories:

then there was this big fluffy puffy thingamabob... and when I pulled it out and shook it out, check this out!
i love these gypsy type skirts so much, it's on my wist multiple times! see, i used to threaten to sell my kids to the gypsies... then i found out that i'm lithuanian, romanian, and i AM the gypsies! I tried twirling really fast in my narrow little kitchen, but my camera can't take pictures fast enough to get it all twirled out.. so here's what it looks like taking up most of my living room floor:
then there was the letter, which included this hand cut rubber stamp - perfect for a knitter like me!
According to this letter, which tells me the provenance of the skirt, this skirt:
is one i can sit on the floor and cross my legs.
doesn't require pantyhose
has 475 squares, in about 378 fabrics
has fabrics from: Pen, Pen's mom, Ptarmic Wumpus, Mimiw, Aeronberry, Pinkanddinky, mclianne, rockness77, RedFumes, WYOKrista, Coryjo and Michela (all craftster people, many of whom i know, some of whom I don't)
has, among other patterns: asian brocades, hand dyed silks, hand painted bugs, swatches from mimi's purses in her shop, kitties in trees, vintage pieces, calicos, hippos, spiderman, nemo and thomas the train (now i finally understand the trainloads of fun)
there was also a bag of chocolate Dove hearts, which I have hidden away so that my son, the human gabage can, doesn't eat them all.
Pen... i know i did a lot of typing here... but i'm still speechless. you were thoughtful, kind, caring, and giving...
ok, i'm going to go spin in my skirt some more!
