i made two jean skirts, both of which i took a pair of jeans that fit around the waist, but they were wore out between the legs.  so i ripped them up the inside seam and sewed in the first one a triangle of jean and in the second skirt a triangle of black satin.  well 2 triangles really.  one for the back and one for the front.

the first one with jean triangles....

the second with black satin triangles...

don't mind my sisters messy room/bed.. the light was burned out in mine.

I absolutely love the first one! Are the gold designs just swirls and stuff?

actually the gold designs is rivets with leather lacing.  i didn't personally do it.. the jeans that i cut up had those on the front side of the leg.  only thing is they tend to untie in the washer....

Those look really good. Did you do the patchwork on the 2nd pair? Oh, do you think you could show me what the back looks like? I'm making a jean skirt for my sister but I'm not sure how to do the back. Cheesy

actually the patchwork came was store bought like that.  i just didn't like how the jeans made me look like i was cut off at the knees.

the back is the exact same as the front.. just another triangle of fabric....

hrmmm i suppose i can convince my sister to take pictures with them on me.. but they gotta be washed first.  snow and salt don't make them look so good.
