I think I posted a hoodie on here before that had sleeves with this "fabric".  I basically took a small chunk out of my mountain of black t-shirt scraps, cut them into strips, and serged them together (stitches out, of course) to get a big piece that I could use as fabric.  It looks much cooler in person, especially since most of the blacks don't quite match each other.

This was a hideous 80's sweater.  The fit of it was hideous, anyway... one of those ones with gargantuan armpits.  The print is actually kind of cute- dogs, cats, teddy bears & hearts, and zebra print, even!
I cut it apart, gave it a girlier fit, and added a keyhole.

And some standard t-shirt recons:
Johnny Cash shirt, cut to bits and made into a halter top with a corset style back.  The bust is some cool pink animal print that's part zebra and part leopard.  Zeopard or Leobra?  I think I like zeopard.

Super soft Elliott Smith tee, with some white and yellow polka dot knit.  I gave it a little pocket with a snap closure, because snaps are fun to play with. In hindsight, I should have put something behind the snap on the inside of the shirt, because that little metal piece is cold when you first put it on.

I like this dress.  I like those cowboy style details.  Anyway, cut apart the Social Distortion t-shirt, put it back together with some polka dot knit and some stretch lace.  I did a lot of red contrast stitching on this one, but you can't really see it in the pictures.

Edwardo Scissorhandso- I don't know why Tim Burton merch is so hard to find, but it is.  Anyway, this actually started as a dress, but I decided I didn't like it, so I cut the big floofy skirt part off and added a bunch of corset-y trim.  The bust is lace.

So amazing. I love that dress. Which you look so gorgeous in by the way.

I like how you made the Edward Scissorhands top look like his jacket.

I am wayyyy impressed and in awe.
