I received my final stamp in this swap from Balkandina a few days ago.
Here's a pic:

(as stamped in one of my Moleskines)

It's funny that she made me a skull in a heart, because I recently painted a skull in a heart for a ceramic ornament.  I really like the ghostly image of the skull.  I sometimes prefer the chunkier images and this one works well; it looks ephemeral and fleeting on the edge of the heart.  She also included some extras - the flower stamp, lots of collage fodder and some cute tissue paper, too.

Thank you Balkandina - I love it and it's very me.

Balkandina- The stamps that you sent to [/b]Sarcastra[/b] are excellent! I really love the subtlety of the skull in the heart. I didn't see it at first, but after glancing away, I caught it out of the corner of my eye and now it's all I can see.

And, I received my stamps today and, as soon as I get back from voting (at the school down the hill and down the block), I'll post pics!

Sarcastra-I'm glad you liked your stamp. That was one that I had to recut because I used the back Tongue I noticed that you liked goth in your profile and thought that was a little gothy Wink

Well, my vote has been cast (hmmmm...caucuses don't sound very productive), so here are my stamps from balkandina! I just love them both! And, she also sent some ephemera from her stash and I think I'll be using some of it in the very near future.

Thanks so much, Dina, and thanks for organizing this swap too!

Balkandina, all your stamps are amazing, my favourite has to be the skull-heart one, I'm really coveting it! Wink

I received a super package from something_wierd this morning in the mail. Not only did I receive a stamp, I am now the proud owner of an entire care package! This is the package that arrive (note the little stamp on the brown paper wrapper):

And here is the beautiful stamp (with obligatory ink pad "ruler"). Its so elegant, I just love it! Grin

Thanks so much, something_wierd!

I have been super lucky with all my partners in this swap, thank you all so much for your gorgeous stamps, and thank you Balkandina for organising the swap! Grin

CraftADDChick...I don't know if I told you, but I took that design of the stylized flower from an old (1903) French art nouveau magazine I have. It's not quite as perfect as the original. The reverse lino type stamp is from an old Japanese book. See, there's a reason I have all that ephemera!!
Something_wierd-I love the stamp you sent PlumCrafty-so elegant and very usable!! And so sweet to send all the accoutrements!
We're just waiting for a few stamps-one is coming from Singapore,though....

PlumCrafty, you got a sweet little package from something_weird! I love, love, love the stamp! And, it's so great that she sent other little items along with it.

balkandina- I really love the flower! I have a cube stamp that has an outline pattern that is similar and would make a very complementary background for your stamp, I think! And the Japanese style stamp is so elegantly simple. Ephemera is one of those things that I don't have the patience to collect myself, but I do love it and can see how useful and inspiring it can be Wink

Thanks again!
