good gravy that grayscale is amazing.  Keep going!  I cant wait to see it finished.  I give you mad props.  I get tired of doing the same color scheme.  I bet your next project is going to be uber vibrant.  I know mine would be if i ever got the gumption to make something like this!!!

I just recently picked up cross stitch after some prodding from a friend.  I work in a call centre which allows us to do activities as long as out call times are good and we're meeting goals.  I started with some tiny cutesy ones I found at Hobby Lobby and then embarked on:

Here's my progress:

and it's only going to be about 6x6 inches, but it's the biggest thing I've ever worked on lol

aaaaaaaaaand...I just saw the flub...GAH!

Here's a status update on mine, after pulling out a bunch of stitches and redo-ing a lot.
Reference:

Detail:

Still so much to do, but at least I reached the bottom edge of the design. The first part of the cross-stitching might not look too great, but once I get all of them done I'll be couching doll hair and doing lots of different stitches and media, methinks, and it will be much cooler.

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Almost done with library school! That sums things up for now.
