I thought that way about the angel I'm doing, it didn't look anything like it was supposed to and I asked a very good friend of mine to look it over and give me her honest opinion, and she gave me a rather startling insight.

She said it was designed that way so you could get the full impact from across the room instead of close-up.

Maybe that picture is designed to be the same - stand away from it and it will look a whole lot better. You may have to move five or six feet away, you may have to go the whole length of the room away, but the impact is amazing, makes them look like paintings.

Just a thought. Wink

oh for sure!
yeah you definitly have to stand far away. i work as a framer and have framed quite a few that were like this one. with no backstitching just more shading. and yes you do have to stand farther away, it's just frustrating when you are working on it so close up haha

This is all such a perfect metaphor for my life!  Cheesy

List me among those who have been busy, and under the weather this week. Oy Vey!  Roll Eyes

Did get some done on the Challah cover, but it won't make it to my Shabbos table this week. Maybe next...

Added to the upper right area some of the silver lines, and will add some of the pine needles with pearls. Hope you can see what I mean by the image.

C & C always welcome. Smiley

That's what stinks about doing such a big project. Its really hard to focus on just it, and nothing else. That's why a lot of times it gets put aside for something else.

The detail in that piece is mind boggling! You really have made some progress, too. Smiley

Hey thanks =).  Although I think I might have to take a break from it now and then, it is getting hard working on it constantly.
