HSG, my pleasure.  I can't wait to see the finished cover.  I thought the pearls looked like little gems of dew.  I'd love to see where you moved them.
I just finished reading this whole line of posts and the works of art here is incredible. WOW!!! Holy Cow!  I can't wait to see finished pieces.  All inspiring.

Thank you again.  Smiley

Moved the pearls, added some more and worked on the lettering more. Still thinking of how to finish the edges. Here is the updated image:

Should I make the edges just sewn or add something? Don't want it to be tacky or gaudy, but it seems to be missing something.  Undecided

I like the pearls there a lot better. I don't think it's missing anything. You don't want too much.

HSG, your acorns are beautiful and I love where you moved the pearls. It looks great.

Here's what I have so far on my project. One wing is complete and I'm working on the second wing.

slksnell - I can tell that wing took some patience! Looks great so far!

HSG - gorgeous work. Don't add anything more to the lower-left, it's perfect as-is. I think the reason it feels like it's missing something might be because the letters are smaller than the lovely pinecone design...if the letters were almost double the size, that would fill up the composition. Since that's probably not something alterable, what about adding some small decoration that draws from the design already in place (one of the satin-stitched leaves and/or another swirl?) on the upper right-hand side of the lettering? That would make a frame effect and draw more attention to the letters.

Calluna

That was mentioned by someone else (forgive me for not looking), and I think that is what I'll do. Just won't get it done before tomorrow as I had hoped. Smiley

That looks great so far. How large is it?

There is no outlining at all. The thing that takes the most time is that there isn't just rows and rows of one color. It's more like a square here, one over there, etc.
That's what my Lavender and Lace World Peace Angel is like - 1 block here, the next in that colour is about three and a half inches to the left, it's SO frustrating not being able to actually do a row.

I haven't touched it a while, actually. I've been doing other things and got side-tracked...

Oh, and speaking of which... Cheesy

She's getting there, the petitpoint on her face took me almost three weeks, never did it before so it was quite a challenge.
