HSG, It turned out just beautiful.  What a beautiful addition to your Shabbos table.  I love how your rearranged the pearls.  They look stunning clustered like that.  A beautiful piece of art. Smiley

ditto - it really is lovely.  An instant heirloom.

edit: did you make up this pattern?  I love the entire piece but those pine cones really stand out - are they especially symbolic or just something you liked?

also that Queen - wow  that reminds me of a piece that I did last year.  so much detail!

Thank you all again! Smiley

The pinecones have no symbolism I just liked the look of them.

The pattern is a mishmosh of these ideas on here.

Here's an update on mine:

I decided to concentrate on one area at a time, I seem to make less mistakes that way and feel a better sense of progress.

I got sidetracked from my "real" big project and just finished this (it's not REALLY finished, but I'm out of time to make it any more complete than this) for a swap:

I followed a chart I made on Darklilac for most of it, but the hands I had to do on my own because they didn't turn out on the chart. I was disappointed with the shades of color in her face--I tried blending some threads, but couldn't find a good gradient of skin-tones in local embroidery thread.  Undecided

Still, it's an image I'd wanted to do for quite a while, so I'm glad it's done(-ish)!
What stitches would you recommend to have made this piece look better?

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Graduated from library school! That sums things up for now.
