I'd really like to keep this going this year and finish my project, so I've started a new topic here. Here's a link to the projects started in 2007.

Here's what mine will look like when it's finished. I found the pattern on Artecy.com but I can't seem to find it on there anymore, I think they took it down and put it on one of their cd's.

Here's a recent picture of it. I don't have much of it done yet, but I will!

How big is that piece Mienna? It looks large.

Time to find the one I want to post pics of here. Smiley

Wow! That is crazy. I am going to start working on one after I finish my two swaps.

Those dang swaps get in the way of all my needlework! I just recently picked mine back up after a couple of months of not doing it (from 1 swap and Christmas) but I just signed up for another swap and I'm sure there will be a couple more. I wish I had more time to craft!

I know, I need to find me a sugar daddy so I can quit my job and craft all day long!  Tongue

Well, I've actually got two projects I'm going to post. Hopefully this will motivate me to get them done.

This one is embarrassing. It is an old craft magazine dated from 1997, and if I'm not mistaken I started in 1998.  Embarrassed
Pattern:

Progress: (And mine is done on white)

Sad huh?  Tongue

Next is a Challah cover, and really all I need to do is the lettering which is demonstrated on the paper. Just don't like what I've started, and need to pull that out to begin again. Making the lettering larger.

This I only just began around Thanksgiving time, so not quite as bad.  Wink

I am in love with that challah cover. I have a thing for pinecones, because my mom does. You know how that goes.

Awesome work. I love the stain glass design too.

Could you explain what the symbols all mean and what a Challah is?

That's a beautiful unicorn design, Mienna! It will look amazing once it's done. Cheesy

And HSG, I like the stained-glass effect, lovely work.

Mine is 14 inches by 9.5 inches. I don't know what I was thinking when I started it but I started it on 18 count material so it's sooo tiny.

And HSG that is very pretty! I really like it on white.

I currently have two projects that I am working on.

The first one is called Lucky Fan. It's from Design Works Kit #2331. It will be 13" by 22" and i'm sewing it on 14 count. Here's a picture I found online of it

And the only camera I have with me right now is my camera phone, and I didn't want to wait to post, so here's my WIP Lucky Fan picture. Colors aren't right, but it gives an idea.

The other project is Sleeping Beauty. It's from Bucilla Kit #42079. It will be 13" by 13" and I'm sewing it on 28 count. Here's the online pic I found

And here is the camera phone WIP Sleeping Beauty picture.

The Sleeping Beauty one is wayyy detailed and has tons of refining lines for extra detail after the initial cross stitch part. Plus its so teeny tiny. Makes for more concentration on all sides. That's why I'm working on the Lucky Fan as well. Its way simple compared to the other and on much bigger count.

I'll take better pictures later when I get my camera fixed.
