Alright, so I saw this hat in a store.....

(and yup she's sitting on a diaper changing thing...we had to make a quick trip to the bathroom...I got the mother of all paper cuts from one of the tags!  Really it was seriously bleeding! And since I still had the hat with me...)

And I thought, "Well, I could make that!" So, I made a pattern and whipped this up....

(The knit isn't as thick so it didn't have as much body as the original.)

And then my little boy said, "Mom, can you make me one?"...

Then his brothers needed one too....

Then I made a couple for my nephew.  Here's one of them on my son...

Then tried out one with only one knotted Knobbie....

And then extra long knobbies with 3 knots....

And then a fleece one...(the yellow one in the corner--I'm not too fond of the fabric though))....

And THEN my friend's little girls came over to play so I let them pick the fabric and made 3 more!  I wish I had a pic.  They looked sooooo cute on them!

They were extremly easy to make.  And look much cuter in person.  It was hard to get a good pic of them.

Tell me what you think!

The hats are adorable and your clan is super cute! You know if kids are asking for them, the hats are big hits!

Quick and easy, eh? I'm adding them to my list.

They're fantastic.  I'm rubbish at visualising the pattern shapes needed - any chance of a quick pic?  Pretty please? Kiss

Well, thanks!

And I'd be happy to post a tutorial.   Grin

But I need a day or so to pull it together.  Our house is pretty insane with those 4 rug monkeys running around.

How's their 'staying power'?  My daughter thinks it's a riot to pull her hat off about fifteen times before we get out the door in the morning.   Grin

Hmmm, staying power?  Well, my baby has kept them on for awhile.  But there have been a few times she's noticed them and tried to pull them off.  Especially the one with the three knots.  Last night she was wearing it and pulling on one of them and trying to get it off, but she couldn't.  She just made it all skee-wampus.
