Sorry guys, i just couldn't wait! i'm only 45 minutes off...

First, some roving I dyed up with Kool Aide. It's on the wheel right now. I'm calling it rainbow sherbert

This one is Spunky Eclectic's FOTM for November "Pie for everyone"

December's FOTM "Party Dress"

And Oct. "Goblin Eyes"

I also spun up a fat skein of "brown" I'm a spining fool. They are all worsted weight.

I like making stuff. Rumor has it, I'm an elf. Like a Santa Elf, not one of those elegant LOTR types.  Mostly because I compulsively craft and partially because I have green shoes.

ooh i can't wait either!!  i got my first spinning wheel (louet s10! yay!) with my xmas money a week ago, and i've spun a bunch already, getting the hang of it!  here is my most favorite, my latest skein, i'm calling it "happy" because it makes me happy to look at it!

i dyed all the wool - one single of greens and blues, and the other oranges, yellow, and red.

and then my first experimentation with self-striping handspun last weekend, this single is mostly sections of orange and green, with some random sections of brown, yellow, purple, and blue..

and then this last one is a tiny mini-skein, just trying out plying a handspun single with this weird yarn/string stuff unraveled from a thrifted sweater...

ok i hope to become a fiber friday regular now that i have my wheel!  i posted here once before when i was playing with my drop spindle, but oh man, drop spindle spinning was no fun, no fun at all... this wheel is the best thing that ever happened to me!

it's already Friday here - just pretend you are on New Zealand time Wink

fantastic work everyone!  I love orange sherbet, it looks yummy.
I'm hoping to contribute in a few weeks time.  Just got hand carders so I'm planning some blending!

i love happy! it's so vibrant!  what did you use to dye the wool?

ginamonster--i'm in the spunky club, too (was in sock club but just switched to double fiber), and i love what you've done with both of the colorways!  "party dress" was such an amazing skein--i'm curious what it looked like in roving form.

here's my contribution to the FF.  this is my second plied skein from the wheel.  the brown single is a BFL and i got the blue/green/variegated roving from etsy but it was so long ago that i've forgotten what it was.

final result was around 95 yards.  the color sort of reminds me of a mint chocolate chip sunrise.. if there could be such a thing.

and a closeup of my new baby:

I can't wait to see what everyone else has been working on.

Hi ladies, my first fiber Friday, YAY!!!!! I am new (again) to spinning, I tried it about 2 years about made 2 mini skeins with my drop spindle and then put it up for the last 18 months while I planned and crafted for my wedding. Now that I'm married I am back to crafting where my heart leads me, and the gorgeous colors of your yarns lead me back to spinning!

This is my 3rd skein ever, and my 1st attempt at plying. It's approx. 21 yds. on my drop spindle. How did I do?! I would really appreciate and advice/comments! Thanks and hope you like it!
