This is a little holder for travel-size tissues.  They're really easy to make and are great little gifts.  I made a bunch for stocking stuffers at Christmas.  I made a tutorial for them if you would like to give it a try and posted it on my blog.  I would love any feedback as it's the first time I've done a tutorial.

You can find it here under the photo albums:

Thanks, I hope you like it  Smiley

The pattern wasn't working for me, but otherwise, nice tutorial. That's a really cute idea. Much better than having waded tissues shoved in my purse. Tongue

Yipee!  Thanks soooooo much for this tutorial.  I'm allergic to everything except air and go through kleenex like water so I'll be getting a heck of a lot of use out of this.  And PS---your website is hella cute!!!   Grin

Ooo! I have been looking for fairly simple sewing ideas to try- thank you!
As luck would have it, I am also traveling later this month, so your tutorial will come in very handy! Grin

Very cute website!

This reminds me of another thing I saw recently, and motivates me to figure out a pattern for it.  Essentially, it's a fabric holder for a box of tissue, but on the bottom is a little bag closed with elastic, to corral the used tissues. So, the tissues come out of the box through a slit at one end, and go into a bag on the other end. Slightly gross, but I could see it being really handy when you're sick on the couch and just want to watch movies, saving having to pick up lots of little tissue balls later.  When you're through being sick, you can just throw the holder/bag in the wash.

If I figure it out, I'll post.

I thought your tutorial was great, I think I'll try this today except with the pocket size kleenex pkg.
Thanks!
