Help, my crafty peeps! I want to make fun Valentine's cars for my coworkers, and they can be a little wacky (I work in a creative field and everyone already knows I'm crazy, hee!) - but I'm drawing a big fat zero on ideas. I have this one picture I think I'd like to use, of a - do you think it would be fun to have pink cards with the photo of  "popping up" from the inside?

What's everyone else doing for their V-day cards?

I tend to lean toward the quirky too... Cheesy
this year i am giveing little baggies of  pistachios with a tag attached with a pic of me with a cheesy grinn & funky font saying
"I'm nuts about you."  Goofy I know.

Last year I did lil baggies of candy corn (red, pink, white) did a tag that said I know it's corney but shuks I wish you'd be my Valintine"

Yes I am a wack job ...

My Mom says it's all part of my charm ... I always do "different" Christmas cards too!  =)

OK ... So here goes let's see if I can make this make sence...
A freind of mine gave me this deck of crads for Christmas it is "Famous Pick Up Lines" Turner Classic Movies put them out... They are like flash cards one side has a pick up line (quote from the move) the other has a picture (still) from the movie & the characters names & who played them ....
So for Valentines Cards I did this... I used very pale Yellow card stock & printed the quotes in DEEP MAROON RED   I printed the Quote on the front of the card in large type  then the inside of the card I put a pic of the movie poster & who said the quote to whome tyed small cross the bottom. HOPE that all made sence ....

Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has a good selection of quotes ... http://www.imdb.com/Sections/Quotes/

Also at IMDB if you pull up a movie by title then click on the pic of the movie poster it will give you stills from that movie.   Here is Cassablanca: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0034583/photogallery

Art.com has lots of movie posters.... here are the ones for Cassablanca :

I know this is very wordy ... sorry...   Roll Eyes

Here are a few of my fav quotes from this list:

"Give me a kiss or I'll sock you"  Frank
The Postman always rings twice  Frank (John Garfarfield) to Cora (Lana Turner)

"Here's looking at you kid" Rick   Cassablanca Rick (Humphrey Bogart) to Ilsa (Ingred Bergman

"I like your eyes, do you mind?" Yvonne   Inspiration  Yvonne (Greta Garbo) to Andre (Robert Montgomery)

"Oh now, don't turn ordinary on me. I get tired of ordinary dames, & I don't want to get tired of you" Johnny     Jonny Eager
Johnny (Robert Taylor) to Lisbeth(Mervyn Leroy)

& My absolute fav... I'm using this for my guy buddies:
"I guess you are sort of attractive, in a corn-fed sort of way. You can faind yourself a poor girl falling for oyu if- well, if you threw in a set of dishes"  Maggie
The man who came to dinner    Maggie(Bette Davis) to Bert (William Keighley)

So there you have it ....    =)
