Well... judging from how many recent posts are in this forum, this might be kind of a long shot, but...

I just moved to Manchester, and I was wondering what really good LYSs are in the West County area.  Anyone have a favorite?  Or rather, anyone know where any are at all?  I need LYS-age!

Thanks!

Oh, sorry!  Smiley  It stands for "local yarn store"... basically, I'm looking for a yarn shop!

I know of one at Olive and Woods Mill in the same shopping center as El Maguay.  Can't remember the name and never went inside, even though I worked right behind the place during the summer...

The one on Manchester is called The Kirkwood Knittery....it's right past Kirkwood Rd., in a little shopping strip.

I've heard the people who own it are really nice...I've been in there once, and they have a pretty decent selection of yarn...sock yarn and all. Let me know if you need better directions...I work in the same area, so I'm pretty familiar with it...

The Meyers House is my go to LYS (even though it's about 25 minutes away from my house) they have a HUGE selection of sock yarn, wool, cotton, linen, and everything else you can imagine.  They are located in Florissant @ Dunn Road.

there's a yarn store, also sells quilting fabric in the joining building too i believe, anyways, it's located off of Main Street in St. Charles, i'm not sure of the exact name, but main street, you basically park your car and walk to all the little shops on that road.

happy hunting!
