I made two pillow cases for the throw pillows in our living room.  The red matches our accent walls, and the blue is a little lighter than the other walls, but the closest I could find.  Anyway, I used an envelope backing for the pillows, but the first one didn't quite fit, so the envelope is spread open a bit.  Then I sewed the back of the second pillow on backwards!  But hey, as long as nobody flips them over they look just fine! I modified a pattern that I had seen in a book for the front of the pillow.  I love patterns like that.
