This was Christmas gift project #2, for my sister Katie.  I was totally inspired by the bags and tutorial here:


I love how these fabrics look together.  The brown is actually a suede-ish fabric, from which I was contemplating making a tote bag, but it fit so well with the pink flowered fabric, I decided it was better for this purse project.  I think the flash might have been a little strong on this photo... it's hard to tell the front is pleated.  But it is!

You can see the pleating a little better here:

I used the same fabric for the lining inside.

Pink and brown are two of my favorites! and they're even better together. Love the bag!
