My best friend is pretty hard to shop for.  She's butch, rides her bike everywhere and loves to cook.

So I decided to decoupage a recipe box for her.

I bought a unfinished box from Michaels for 1.99.  Instead of painting it, I used Old English to stain it so it looked a bit more classy.

Then I printed out a bunch of pin-ups (using my super nice printer at work....shhhhhh...don't tell my boss).

This is my first time doing mod podge stuff.  I love it!

This is a good idea and I love it! My mum loves collecting recipes and she has a lot of cutout recipes from magazines, catalogs, and photocopies from books. This would be a good idea for the storage of them. It looks great!

And the decoupage addiction begins...
Nice Box!
