i like the second one with the white ribbon on top of the black, but it might look more like a pokemon ball?  both look great and professional though

holy cow!!! thanks, everyone!  i can't believe three pages of replies have accumulated since i went to bed  Shocked

i'm sure most of the people invited won't think "pokeball" when they get these, plus they'll have to take off the ribbon anyway to see the actual invite, so they won't look that way for long Smiley

i bought only enough of each ribbon to do a trial, then i planned to go back for more....  but i'm still not sure!  maybe i'll tally up the votes and see which one came in ahead.

thanks again!  if anyone else cares to put in their vote, it'd be appreciated Cheesy

If I vote with both hands, does that count?  2 votes for #1. Grin

I love your colors.  I like the wide silver and thin black ribbon best.

Haha, I totally clicked on this because I thought "How cool and original!  A Pokemon themed wedding!"  I'm really sorry. Smiley  But like everyone else stated, as long as your invite list isn't comprised of mainly 10-15 year olds, you'd be correct in assuming that nobody else will recognize the Pokeball thing.

I like the thicker ribbon, personally.  It just looks more classy.  And a completely off-the-wall suggestion that you may want to try:  The invitation could also look smashing in black, with silver/red ribbon and silver/red circle.  This would also completely abolish the Pokelook.  Smiley

I like them both for different reasons. both remind me of a Pokeball Smiley (from pokemon, you know?) That's why I clicked the pic on the front page - I thought it was a Pokemon craft!!

Best of luck, which ever you choose looks great!

I think I'm too old. Cheesy  I had to go read about Pokemon and poke balls. Cheesy  I knew Pokemon from the big craze, but nothing of the details.

I hope this doesn't sound mean or anything because I don't want to offend, but, I thought you should be aware that the invitations kind of look like pokeballs, either way.
I sort of thought the same thing when I saw it on the hot topics, thats why I clicked on it..

Maybe that's my problem, but I see the resemblance... I just hope my guests don't!
