And Dulcinea, good luck with your surgery! I must say that I am very surprised you have not yet mastered the art of knitting with your toes in preparation for your recovery! Better get on it.

LOL, honey, didn't you see?  I tried brushing my teeth with my left hand, and that didn't work out so well.

on the other hand,i've been paying really close attention to how i hold my arms when i knit - and my right arm doesn't move hardly at all - so i can knit while in a sling, can't i?  shoot, i'll even have a place to carry around my knitting!

Do you know how to knit backwards, Dulcinea?  I just learned, and now i dont even have to turn my work.  That could come in handy in a sling.

Wow! Dulcinea! Heal fast for that next round of FOC swap! Weather is crappy here. Don't let the beautiful sunshine fool you either. It is beautiful to look at, but when you step outside..... YIKES! It is supposed to be -8 tonight. preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'Booooo...Hisssssssss...')

do you know if there's a tutorial for that somewhere?  i have plans to make a lady eleanore, i have the yarn for it, and i KNOW that knitting backwards will come in handy for all those little squares

and thanks for all the good wishes, guys - i appreciate it.  i admit, i'm a bit nervous about this one, mostly because of the idea of my good arm being in a sling...

(and i'll accept all shipments of chocolate, devil dogs and kandy kakes!)

I found these videos.....it doesn't look difficult at all, but I imagine it's hard to train your brain to do something differently when you are used to doing it the old way without thought.
