Okay, this is my first time posting something to Craftster all by itself. I'm a little nervous!

For a New Year's Eve party I made some devil's food cupcakes. They are topped with buttercream swirls and then, as a little joke, marzipan celery and carrot sticks. It's never too early to get a jump on those New Year's resolutions to eat healthier, right?

The cake is Betty Crocker, the frosting is the Wilton recipe and the marzipan is the Odense stuff from the store colored with Wilton gels and food coloring. I wore latex gloves when making them so I wouldn't look like I'd hulked out afterwards!  Smiley

When I first glanced at the picture, I said to myself "why would someone put celery and carrots on a cupcake?  Maybe it's some kind of veggie cupcake, that could be tasty..." lol!  Marzipan and devil's food is even better!

Inside me there's a skinny woman screaming to get out; but I can usually shut the bitch up with chocolate.
