I made this a while back for the star trek swap i organised. He was made with freezer paper and a mix of fabric and acrylic paints. I think there was probably about 15-20 layers in all. I was really sad to see him go, but he has gone to a very good home. Unfortunately this is the only picture i can get uploaded onto craftster as my digicam will not connect up to the computer (this pic on on my other halfs camera phone)

That's awesome!!  I know from experience that multi-layers are a real bitch, so definite kudos on that!  You did a really great job.

You did incredable shading work.  I can't believe how well you did all the layering.

thanks Smiley

there are a fair few mistakes in there,  i choose to think of them as adding character to the piece. it was a massive amount of work though, it took a lot of stencil making energy as well i've only done 3 layers max since making this

Your Spock is fantastic!  What a cool idea to have a star trek swap.  I'm still new and can't participate in swaps for a few more weeks at least, but if you ever do another one I'd love to join! Smiley

Oh good!  I'll have to start thinking of Star Trek craft ideas!  Hum, I wonder if I could knit a tribble. Smiley

This is beautiful. What is the method you used? I'm not familiar with this layering thing... where do I find more about it?
