chicka pah, ah, chicka-chicka pah ahhhh

inspiration struck and i made these for my boyfriend for his birthday! They're just some wooden drawers I got from IKEA.

Here's the front view, that drawer sitting on the top is supposed to go in the blank space, but I ran into some difficulties.

The top of the drawers


This is the inside of one of the drawers. I cut some scrapbooking paper, put it in the bottom and covered it with 2 layers of glue. I made the little cassettes out of shrinky dink (love!) and the covered it all with resin. Obviously I didn't wait long enough for the glue to dry. Also some resin leaked out of the bottom of the drawers, hence the one not fitting.


I'm really happy with the way it turned out, despite the resin semi-disaster. That part will be under junk anyway. I was really trying to make something not too girly, since it's for my boyfriend.

That's really cute. Try getting some sandpaper and sanding down the set resin that leaked out, should make it fit right. Smiley
